Jada Hudson (M.S., LCPC, CADC), is a licensed counselor and owner of Hudson Clinical Counseling. She helps women, children and teens as well as first responders to manage life’s challenges including occupational stress and trauma. She is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor as of 2016. Jada assists clients in taking an active role in employing strategies for their own healing. Jada, as a Hinckley counselor, has helped individuals heal, grow and live for more than 20 years.
Jada has dedicated herself to counseling firefighters, police officers, dispach, and other officers. She has received her certification as a Recovery Coach from Governor’s State University and is one of the first to receive specialized training to counsel firefighters and first responders in the State of Illinois. The rigorous curriculum involved supervised counseling and ride along time with active duty firefighters. She has also worked with patients within the Florian Program, an inpatient program for treatment of substance abuse for first responders, at the Rosecrance Harrison Campus in Rockford, IL. Most recently, Jada joined the advisory committee for the emotional wellness curriculum, which will be used at the Illinois Fire Service Institute in Champaign, IL.
Jada has helped children and adolescents explore and identify the areas and issues detrimental to their emotional well-being. She has 15 years of experience as a high school and college counselor gaining insight in general counseling as well as academic and career counseling. Jada enjoys working with children to help them heal, grow, and live.
Women have many life challenges that can be emotionally unsettling or even traumatic. Jada has worked in a women’s domestic abuse shelter gaining a thorough understanding of the cycle of violence. She uses client-centered therapies that empower her clients with the tools they need to overcome their individual challenges.
Jada’s training in clinical psychology included a rigorous curriculum with Alexey Shukin, Ph.D., who was mentored by Carl Rogers, the father of client-based therapy.
