Jada Hudson (M.S., LCPC, CADC), has helped her clients heal, grow, and live for more than 20 years. As a licensed counselor and owner of Hudson Clinical Counseling, she employs a client-centered therapy program that empowers individuals with the tools they need to overcome their particular challenges. Jada specializes in working with first responders, who have experienced occupational stress and trauma, as well as counseling women, children and teens manage life’s transitions.
As a specialized firefighter and first responder counselor, Jada is able to provide psychological support services to local firefighters, law enforcement, and their families. The rigorous training program involved a comprehensive review of firefighter and first responder experiences including classroom work, supervised one-on-one counseling and ride-along time with active duty firefighters. She has also counseled patients within the Florian Program, an inpatient program for treatment of substance abuse for firefighters and paramedics. Jada is certified as a Recovery Coach from Governor’s State University. Most recently, Jada earned her CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor).
Jada counsels children and teens face their emotional challenges and life transitions by creating a non-threatening and open experience. She motivates them to take an active role in their healing process by giving them techniques and strategies to overcome their individual struggles. She specializes in behavioral management and mental health issues relating to substance abuse, anxiety and depression.
Jada guides women in making healthy choices for their body, mind and spirit and helps them manage their life changes in order to heal, grow and live. She has training in clinical psychology which included a rigorous curriculum with Alexey Shukin, Ph.D. who was mentored by the father of client-based therapy, Carl Rogers. Jada uses these client-centered techniques to help women find the tools they need to overcome their individual life challenges. Jada has also worked in a women’s domestic abuse shelter gaining a thorough understanding of the cycle of violence.
